2. ADVANCE NDT TECHNICIAN / QC INSPECTOR (PAUT) - subject: QCInspector(PAUT)_Batam
Responsibilities (posisi 1):
- Perform inspections such as fit-up, welding, dimensional, material, magnetic particle testing, ve penetrant testing, hardness testing, etc.
- Execute welding inspection to monitor and verify the welding parameters as per WPS are followed and Monitor the welding procedure qualifications (PQR) to support development of WPS which includes calculating the heat input and conducting of welder's qualifications.
- Conduct visual inspection before, during and after welding for good workmanship standards.
- Confirm In-process, Final, Welding Inspections and Heat treatments are carried out according to the Manufacturing Route Sheet.
- Witness and monitor pressure tests, PWHT and interpret relevant charts.
- Understand and interpret relevant Oil States procedures, work instruction, quality plans, ITP, relevant to job scope including API 6A, API 16A, API 16C, API 16F, etc. requirements.
- Prepare requests and coordinate with vendors for radiographic tests, load test etc.
- Interpret radiographic films and advise Production of any repair as required for known defect.
- Verify to ensure the measuring instruments/welding machines are duly calibrated and maintained.
- Advise welders the proper care and handling of welding consumables.
- Report welds defect details with reference to weld joint number to welding and QC Engineers.
- Ensure relevant documents such as route sheets, WPS, drawings and etc., are made available to the welders and/or operators during work.
- Prepare inspection Reports and submit through Master Control for QC Engineer approval, if necessary to obtain Third Party Approval, reports shall be printed and submitted to QC Engineer for review prior to the Master Control Upload.
Qualification (posisi 1):
- Minimum Diploma Degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent qualification
- Certified welding inspector from CWI or CSWIP 3.1 is mandatory.
- Certified NDT Level II in MPI, DPI, UT & RT as per SNT-TC-1A or PCN, is preferred.
- Have 5 years of experience as QC or Welding Inspector with knowledge in fabrication and manufacturing.
- Familiar with welding process such as SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, SAW and etc.
- Familiar with welding of AISI 4130, AISI 8630, F22 and X80 material preferred
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word)
- Speak and Read English fluently.
Responsibilities (posisi 2):
- Perform inspections such as fit-up, welding, visual, dimensional, material, magnetic particle testing, dye penetrant testing, hardness testing and etc.
- Prepare/review all inspection & NDT, PWHT, painting reports and final data book.
- Prepare requests and coordinate with vendors for radiographic tests, load test etc.
- Update daily records (welder performance, daily update, etc.). Perform Master Control update.
- Monitor PWHT, pressure test, blasting and painting. Complete the pressure test chart.
- Ensure in-process, final, welding Inspections and heat treatments are carried out per manufacturing route sheet.
- Interpret and understand Oil States standards, work procedures, quality plans, ITP, relevant to the job scope including API 6A, API 16A, API 16C, API 16F, etc. requirements.
- Advance Non-Destructive Testing
- Prepare PAUT/UT reports. Print and submit the reports to QC Engineer for review.
- Perform PAUT and UT in compliance with Oil States procedure and technique sheet and/or customer specifications.
- Perform daily verification of UT/PAUT equipment and accessories as per Oil States working procedures and maintain the records.
- Update welder performance record and route sheet stamping. Issue NCR when non-conformance is identified during inspection/testing.
- Update in-process result on the job. Communicate any failure results to Workshop Supervisor, Welding Engineer and QC Engineers through email.
- Coordinate with Customer/3rd party Inspector(s) for the in-process inspection.
Qualification (posisi 2):
- Minimum Degree/Diploma in Engineering/Science or equivalent qualification.
- Certified NDT Level II in UT and PAUT/TOFD as per SNT-TC-1A or PCN or CSWIP.
- Have Minimum 3 years of experience in Ultrasonic Testing.
- Certified NDT Level II in MPI, DPI as per SNT-TC-1A or PCN is preferred.
- Certified welding inspector from CSWIP 3.1 is preferred
- Attained or currently pursuing ASNT Level III Certification in UT.
- Ability to read and understanding drawings/router/relevant work instructions, QA Procedures to perform inspections.
